The GODET Group

The company GODET, formerly a historic French rope-making business acquired in 1938 by Raymond GODET, is a major player in the fields of lifting, pulling, material handling, load securing, and safety for work at height (PPE). Over the decades, the company has successfully evolved, diversified its activities, and strengthened its expertise to meet the specific needs of a wide range of clients, both in France and internationally.

Specialized in the manufacturing of technical ropes, GODET formerly Corderie GODET is the group’s historical core. It produces ropes, halyards, slings, and lifting accessories that meet the strictest safety and performance standards. GODET stands out for its ability to deliver custom-made solutions for a wide range of sectors, such as industry, stagecraft, marine applications, transport, agriculture, and work at height.

The history of the GODET Group begins with Raymond GODET, who took over the Corderie de Lorraine, laying the foundations for what would later become the Corderie GODET. Driven by his passion and determination, he initiated the company’s development. Initially focused on producing twine, the company gradually moved toward rope manufacturing for the construction sector. However, it quickly diversified by developing solutions for the lifting, pulling, and safety equipment markets. Innovation another core value of the group has been central to its growth. The group has continuously invested in new technologies, improving its manufacturing processes and introducing increasingly specialized products for its customers. Today, the GODET Group continues this tradition of excellence and innovation. With several decades of expertise, it is recognized for the quality of its products and its French know-how, meeting the expectations of even the most demanding professionals.

The GODET Group has always made it a priority to strengthen its expertise and know-how in France. Today, it operates three production sites across the country and brings together a team of more than 100 employees.
